My year of study in Strasbourg revealed an enlarged world view and cemented a love of travel and learning about different cultures that has lasted through the present. The opportunity to increase language fluency and pronunciation was priceless; the travels we did on weekends and vacations allowed us to see much of Europe in quite a different way from how we travel now. I can't imagine teaching middle school French without having had this experience!
