Study abroad in...
Marburg, Germany
Why BCA Marburg?
Start your Marburg experience in Austria in the culturally-rich city of Vienna
at the
Internationales Kulturinstitut Wien
language school where you will spend 8 weeks learning German before the semester starts in Germany.
Continue your study in Marburg, Germany, at Philipps University
, the world's oldest Protestant university, and one of its most distinguished, offering a wide range of academic disciplines.
Live and study side-by-side with local students, both in Vienna and in Marburg
. Housing options include university and privately operated student dormitories and a chance to live in Marburg’s castle!
Bike or hike the region’s nearly infinite trail systems
, both in the forest and throughout the river valley. Most students are amazed at just how much nature is at their fingertips.
BCA Educational Excursion to Berlin
: Spend two days in this historic, trend-setting capital city.
In the BCA Marburg program, we’ll provide you with the
hands-on learning you'll need to consider a career in translation
. Our resident director Kris Riggs, who also is an ATA certified translator, will teach you all the basics about translation, professional certification as a translator and how to use the translation memory (TM) software so that upon completion of GER 310 you will have the basic skills to set your résumé apart.
Explore the rest of Europe!
Vienna’s international airport and train stations make it easy to get both near and far, and Marburg is only 90 minutes from the Frankfurt International Airport, which is Europe's third largest airport.
