The Derry program is more than just "Academic"

Like most of BCA Study Abroad’s programs, when you enroll in our program in Derry you won’t just be studying in an academic setting.  “Studying” in Derry means that you’ll not only be taking classes at the Magee campus of the University of Ulster, but that you’ll also be living and studying in one of the world’s premier “laboratories” where people are trying to institutionalize Peace in the face of a history of violent conflict and suffering.  Your “studies” will mean that, in addition to your classes, you’ll interact with a diverse collection of people from various sectors of the local and international community who are engaged in trying to overcome the political, social, economic, and psychological residues of a decades’ long conflict and insure that a stable peace becomes embedded in the culture of a historically troubled region.
